Tommy Russell “Tom Cat” Creamer Sr., 65, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 11:45 A.M. Sunday January 15, 2017 at his home. He was born November 8, 1951, in Danville, IL, the son of Clifton and Goldie (Edwards) Creamer. He married Flossie Lee Scott on July 11, 1980, in Hoopeston, IL. She survives in Hoopeston. He is survived by four sons, Tommy Russell Creamer Jr. of Hoopeston, IL, Jeromy Franklin Scott Creamer, of Hoopeston, IL, Ronald Lee (Whitney) Creamer of Henning, IL, and DeWayne Russell Creamer of Hoopeston, IL: four sisters, Jeanett Milton of Sapula, Ok, Shirley Meunier, of Hoopeston, IL, Kathy (Melvin) Smith of Poplar Bluff, MO, and Susan Leppard of Melvin, IL: one brother, Terry Joe Creamer of Georgetown, IL: 4 grandchildren, Adam Creamer, Lela Kintner, JayLeigh and Jenesis Creamer: several nieces and nephews: and two dogs, Rascal and Peanut Butter. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters. He worked at Stokely’s, Schumacher’s, and Hoopeston Foods. He also served in the United States Army. Tommy liked to fish, pack up junk and recycle it, and most of all he loved to visit with friends and family. A visitation will be held 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Thursday January 19, 2017 at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday January 20, 2017 at the funeral home, with Pastor Dan Mikel officiating. Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, with military rites being accorded by the Hoopeston American Legion #384. Memorials may be made to the American Legion 502 E. Penn St. Hoopeston, IL 60942 and the VA Illiana Health Care System (Voluntary Services) 1900 E. Main St. Danville, IL 61832.
