Shirley Lee Calvert, 76, of Petersburg, IL, passed away at 10:44 A.M. Thursday October 3, 2013 at Springfield Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. She was born September 23, 1937, in Alvin, IL, the daughter of Steeling and Sophia (Burton) Baker. She married Cleo Calvert on August 20, 1954 in Henning, IL. He preceded her in death. She is survived by four daughters, Virginia Waters of Danville, IL, Linda (Gilbert) Mockbee of Henning, IL, Carol (Butch) Schroeder of Milford, IL and Lorie Elem of Springfield, IL; three sons, Allen (Della Jo) Calvert of Taylorville, IL, Randie (Angie) Calvert of Portland, TN and Jerry (Michele) Calvert of Petersburg, IL; one sister, Melvina (Wayne) Clayburn of Paris, IL; three brothers, LeRoy Baker of Hoopeston, IL, Leonard (Gail) Baker of Hoopeston, IL and Sterling "Butch" Baker Jr. of Westville, IL; twenty-six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Dorothy Lee, Bearl Hughes Nolan and Lettie Arlington; three brothers, Joe, John and Dan Baker and one granddaughter, Haley Cheyanne Calvert. Shirley was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing Bingo, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
