Sharon Kay Reynolds, 73, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 10:15 P.M. Tuesday February 23, 2016 at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Living in Hoopeston. She was born May 25, 1942, in Scottsburg, IN, the daughter of William Mack and Olive Mae (Perrin) Craig. She married Richard “Dick” Reynolds on April 21, 1963. He survives in Hoopeston. She is survived by two sons, Tim (Susan) Reynolds of Canton, OH and Bill Reynolds of Hoopeston, IL; one sister, Vicky Lackey of Hoopeston, IL; one brother, Richard Craig of Stonefort, IL; 6 grandchildren, Sherman (Sarah) Reynolds, Julie Dunlap, Andrew Reynolds, Luke Reynolds, Erica (Mike) Artzner and Jerry (Puisan) Reynolds and 5 great-grandchildren, Brayden Reynolds, Landon Toot, Toby Artzner, Cullen Reynolds and Ainsley Reynolds. She is also survived by 2 nieces, Stephanie Herman and Brenda Zarate and one nephew, Travis Lackey. She was preceded in death by her parents. Sharon was a first grade teacher in Danville for nearly 13 years, before her retirement. She was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ in rural Rossville. Sharon enjoyed reading, visiting with family and friends and listening to gospel music, especially the Gaither’s, with her husband. Per her wishes, she will be cremated. A visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Saturday March 5, 2016 at Antioch Church of Christ 37604 N 1900 East Road Rossville, IL. A memorial service will follow the visitation and will begin at 1:00 P.M. Saturday March 5 at the church, with Rev. Earl Eells officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Sharon’s honor to the Antioch Church of Christ 37604 N. 1900 East Road Rossville, IL 60963. Anderson Funeral Home in Hoopeston is handling the arrangements.
