Roy Kenneth Johnson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Roy Kenneth Johnson, of Hoopeston, IL, died early the morning of April 4, 2020. Roy was a life-long resident of Hoopeston, IL, until 2015, but has been living in Indianapolis, IN for the past 5 years near his daughter and her family. He was born on September 20, 1936, to Harold and Mildred Johnson, of Hoopeston, IL. Roy is survived by his daughter, Tricia (Phil); grandson, Nigel; granddaughter, Casey; great-grandson, Caiden all who live in Fishers, IN; and sister, Connie (George) Kult of Hoopeston, IL. Survivors of his siblings include Judy (Butch) Johnson of Lafayette, IN, and Myrna (Howard) Johnson, of Hoopeston, IL. He is also survived by many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ellen and Joyce; brothers, Howard and Butch; and nephew, Tony. Roy worked at FMC in Hoopeston, in many different roles including supervisor. He retired at the age of 55 in 1992. He had a love for Corvettes, and was a dedicated Chicago Cubs fan, win or lose! Roy also had a very special soft spot for every dog he ever met. Funeral service to honor Roy will be private and scheduled at a future date. Roy will rest alongside his parents, Harold and Mildred, and sister, Ellen, in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, IL.
