Ronald Reed

March 9, 1942 - January 4, 2013

Ronald Jo "Ronnie" Reed, 70, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 5:28 A.M. Friday January 4, 2013 at his home in Hoopeston, IL. He was born March 9, 1942 in Danville, IL, the son of Russell "Bus" and Hilda (Branson) Reed. He married Karen Sue Hannie on January 5, 1973. She survives in Hoopeston. He is also survived by one son, Jason (Dianna) Reed of Milford, IL; two brothers, Monty Reed and John Reed both of Hoopeston, IL and two grandsons, Blake and Jacob Cole Reed. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Ronnie worked at Hoopeston Foods for 41 years, before retiring. He attended the Church of God in Hoopeston. He was a member of the Hoopeston Jaycees and Illiana Antique Auto Club. Ronnie's greatest love was attending car shows throughout the area. He also enjoyed playing music with his disc jockey service Ronnie's Rockin' Jukebox and spending time with his grandsons. Ronnie was best known for always being there to lend a helping hand.
