Misti Renae Runge Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Misti Renae Runge, 51, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 4:00 A.M. Tuesday March 31, 2015 at the Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center in Hoopeston. She was born December 19, 1963 in Danville, IL, the daughter of Don and Charlotte (McCalla) McBride. She married John Runge on February 19, 1999 in Danville, IL. He survives in Hoopeston. She is survived by her parents Don and Charlotte McBride of Hoopeston, IL; two daughters, Lindsey Crose of Nashville, TN and Laney Runge of Hoopeston, IL and one son, Jordan Crose of Hoopeston, IL. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Don and Doris McBride and Chet and Florence McCalla. Misti worked at Carle Hoopeston Regional Heath Center for 24 years as a registered nurse. She most recently served as the Quality Nurse Specialist and Infection Control Coordinator. Misti served as the head chaperone for the National Sweetheart Pageant for 20 years. She devoted her time to making this her yearly hobby. She enjoyed reading, shopping, cooking and watching HGTV. Misti loved traveling to the beach, especially to Hilton Head, S.C., with her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. A visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Saturday April 4, 2015 at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Kevin Purdy officiating. Burial will follow in the Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, IL. Memorials may be made to the Hoopeston Breast Cancer Support Group c/o Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL 60942 or to the Carle Center for Philanthropy, for a memorial donation to be given to the Hoopeston Regional Health Center in Misti’s honor.
