Marlene Louise Etzkorn, 69, of Watseka, IL, passed peacefully surrounded by family at 11:00 P.M. Wednesday May 9, 2012 at the Gilman Healthcare Center in Gilman, IL. She was born January 27, 1943 in Chicago, IL, daughter of Louis Mac Girvin and Josephine (Sospenzi) Mac Girvin. She was the loving mother of two sons: John (Debbie) Etzkorn of Bellefontaine, OH and Kevin (Susan) Etzkorn of Carmel, IN.; two daughters: Melody (Rusty) Gray of Gilman, IL and Melissa Etzkorn of Watseka, IL; nine grandchildren Tiffany, Brittany, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Christian, Jude, Julianne and Isabel; one great-granddaughter Carmen and many nieces and nephews. Marlene is also survived by one brother: Louis (Joyce) Mac Girvin and two sisters: Joanne Serratt and Lois (Robert) Serratt. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son: Brian Etzkorn. While raising her family, Marlene worked at home as a homemaker and later worked for many years as a care giver.
