Maria Elena Claypool

Maria Elena Claypool, 67, of Henning, IL, passed away at 2:52 P.M. Monday December 5, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born October 5, 1949 in Danville, IL, the daughter of Paul and Vivian (Goins) Cox. She married Richard Claypool on April 15, 1978. He preceded her in death on August 8, 2007. She is survived by one daughter, Jenny Claypool of Henning, IL; one son, Ryan (Shawna) Claypool of Hoopeston, IL; one sister, Carol (Tom) Brooks of Ellis, IL; one brother, Dave Cox of Danville, IL; 4 grandchildren, Tommie, Marlie and Bradie Claypool of Hoopeston, IL and Vera Bowers of Henning, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Paula Hinchman and one niece, Katie Estes. Maria worked at AT&T as a customer service representative, until her retirement. She enjoyed crafting, cooking and reading. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. Per her wishes, she will be cremated. A visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday December 14, 2016 at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. A memorial service will follow the visitation and will begin at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday December 14, 2016 at the funeral home. No burial will be held. Memorials may be made to the family of Maria Claypool.
