Jeri Michelle Galyen, 57, of Veedersburg, IN, formerly of Rossville, IL, passed away at 5:40 P.M. Thursday May 12, 2022, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Hospital in Lafayette, IN. She was born January 12, 1965, in Jacksonville, FL, the daughter of Roy J. and Carol F. (Pettice) Goin Jr. She is survived by one daughter, Carol Matthews of Hoopeston, IL; one son, Ryan (Lanee) Peterson; son-in-law, Jason Matthews; one sister, Robin (Dennis) Thomas of Hoopeston, IL; one brother, James “Beau” Goin (Angela Brewer) of Rossville, IL; one brother-in-law, Robert Bruner; 7 grandchildren, Jason R. Matthews, Joshua Matthews, Jasper Matthews, Joden Matthews, Raelynn Peterson, Elijah Phillips, and Avree Peterson; 2 nieces; 3 nieces-in-law; 4 nephews; 1 nephew-in-law; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Crystal Bruner; and her fiancé, Gregory Allen “Pete” Peterson. Jeri was a homemaker. She loved playing with her grandkids and listening to music. Cremation rites will be accorded, and no services will be held.
