Daniel Reed Nunn Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Daniel Reed Nunn Sr., 78, of Rossville, IL, passed away at 5:11 p.m. Monday June 8, 2015 at the Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born September 12, 1936, in Hoopeston, IL, the son of Leonard and Mary Jane (Bishop) Nunn. He married Shirley Fouse on November 10, 1956 in Hoopeston, IL. He is survived by two daughters, Debra (Dale) Goodwin and Peggy (Harold) Goble both of Rossville, IL; six sons, Daniel Nunn Jr. of Hoopeston, IL, Randall (Sandy) Nunn of Baltimore, MD, Stanley (Martha) Nunn of Bowling Green, KY, Timothy (Stacey) Nunn of Rossville, IL, Ronald (Becky) Nunn of Hoopeston, IL, and Tyler (Amber) Nunn of Rossville, IL; twenty grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; six sisters and one daughter, Lisa Nunn. Daniel worked at American Can Company, where he later retired. He attended the Rossville Church of Christ. Daniel enjoyed fishing, woodworking, playing cards and rebuilding riding mowers. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held 10:30 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Friday June 12, 2015 at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00 P.M. Friday June 12, 2015 at the funeral home, with Pastor Kevin Purdy officiating. Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
