Cora Juanita Denton

Cora Juanita Denton, 93, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 6:30 A.M. Saturday December 20, 2014 at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care in Hoopeston. She was born July 29, 1921 in Hoopeston, IL, the daughter of Vernal H. and Mary Howard (Hartman) Goin. She married Clarence Alfred Denton Sr. on October 21, 1939, in Kentland, IN. He preceded her in death on September 14, 1963. She is survived by two daughters, Carol Ann (Harold) Bishop of Hoopeston, IL and Brenda Kay (Bill) Crusinberry of Hoopeston, IL; one son, Clarence Alfred Denton Jr. of Hoopeston, IL; one sister, Ada Mae Seiters of Hoopeston, IL; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Ellen Davis and brother, Roy Goin. Cora was a homemaker, caring for her family. She was also a seasonal worker at the canning factories in Hoopeston. Cora enjoyed bowling, reading, working crossword puzzles and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. The family requests no flowers.
