Betty Jeanne McClure

September 5, 1939 - April 26, 2022

Betty Jeanne McClure, 82, of Wellington, IL, passed away at 5:35 P.M. Tuesday April 26, 2022, at her home. She was born September 5, 1939, in Watseka, IL, the daughter of Forrest and June (Lockhart) Eckersley. She is survived by three daughters, Debbie (Craig) Luke of Milford, IL, Diane (Jon) Goldenstein of Watseka, IL, and Lori (Todd) Keith of Rossville, IL; 7 grandchildren, Jackie Norton, Julianne (Ryan) Andrews, Schuyler (Lindsey) Boyden, Brenna (Justin) Schroeder, Jake Goldenstein, Jordan (Larina) Goldenstein, and Hunter Keith; 14 great-grandchildren, Masie and Weston Norton, Kennedy and Brody Andrews, Wyatt and Lucy Boyden, Avery, Nolan, and Ryder Schroeder, Reed, Coby, and Trae Goldenstein, and Hayden and Grayson Goldenstein; and her constant companion, Kitty. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Joe Eckersley. Betty worked at the Wellington State Bank for 42 years, until her retirement. She was a member of the Wellington United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Wellington Junior Woman’s Club, the Milford Community Band, and the musical group The Wind. She also served as the former secretary for the Village of Wellington and leader of the Iroquois Mounties 4-H Club. Betty loved her children and grandchildren. She also loved all animals. She enjoyed flower gardening and music, especially playing her saxophone. A visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M Tuesday May 3, 2022, at Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Milton officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston. Memorials may be made to the Iroquois County Fair- Horse Department P.O. Box 301, Crescent City, IL 60928.
